Hello,
I haven't posted here before, but I just wanted to say thanks for all the useful info on the Webboard. Whoever left the post for the repair shop in Arlington Heights IL thanks! I have a Cascade Kustom 100 with a matching 1-15" bottom which I use as a bass rig. I've gigged with it for about 9 months. It's great. I always hear other bands talking about it. Now only if I could convince my guitar player to get a matching Cascade amp, we would rule the world.

Steve, glad to see you jump on board. I sold all my marshalls a few years back when I started collecting and playing kustoms again. The best comment I have heard while playing my silver K50 besides it's the best sounding amp they have ever heard was one kid asked me where did I get that neat marshmellow amp. Hey style and sound never go out of date. I have a cascade 100 with the 212 cabinet loaded with celestions. That's a nice sounding combination. The bass player in my band just bought a black 100 with a 115 altec cabinet from me and loves it. The other guitar player kids us for using kustoms, and last night his peavey blew up during a sound check. I just told him the problem was his amp is not 30 years old. I'll take a charcoal K50 for him to use tonight. Keep us up to date on the conversion of your guitar player. Don

Hey JC,
I'm playing at the Double Door in Chicago on Wed, March 13th. The band is called Meringue. I'm not sure about the time slot. I think 9pm. I'll be playing the Cascade Kustom.
Actually, when I was 18 and first started playing guitar(& I didn't know s**t about amps or guitars or even how to play) I had a perfect opportunity to buy a beatiful blue sparkle Kustom 50 combo amp at a pawn shop. $99.00 was alot to a student that didn't have any money so I waited. By the time I went back a few days later, the Kustom 50 was "Gone With The Wind".
Later I was influenced by the rest of the human race that "solid state=bad". So I bought an Ampeg V-4B and didn't think about Kustom for a while until I saw John Fogerty live in concert.
