Hello people, I am going to buy (if everything goes well) a Kustom K50-2 .

I just wanted to know if there is any pedal that sounds like the Harmonic Clipper of the K200-4... and fits well in the K50

I play in a CCR tribute band, and want the CCR sound.

Thanks!!!

PS: I have the Boss BD-2 (should I sell it?)

Did CCR use the harmonic Clipper? Fogerty does get a nice distortion sound - I always thought it was just the natural Kustom sound.

Yes, in songs like I put a Spell on You, he used the Harmonic Clipper and the Rick 325 to get feedback. Then in other songs (Up Around the Bend for example) you can listen to the distorsion

NOC3 Effects' Pure Drive can purportedly sound very much like a Kustom Harmonic Clipper. Disclaimer: I haven't tried one myself.

I'd be interested in more opinions/options for this too. I have tried a couple of pedals to get the HC effect but don't feel I really got the Creedence tone. Maybe some day I'll find a K200A-4 and solve the problem, but until then, another arrangement will have to do.

Creedence + Kustom: a great combination.
