hey folks i got an old charger amp for free and am fixing it up. The speaker in it has been replaced. it is a kustom speaker with a big square magnet, 8ohm marked on it. my question is i know this amp is 200w but at 8 or 4 ohm. Is the 8 ohm speaker correct or do i need a 4ohm to get the full 200w.

Hi,
For the Charger you need an 8 ohm speaker.
Also, the output power for the Charger is 75 watts RMS.

where did you get the 75w rating from? The back of the head unit on this amp says 200w, and the charger literature on this web site says 150w. I,m not saying your wrong cuz i have no idea other than what i,ve read and nowhere did i read 75w

The 200w marking is for the power consumed by the amp, not the power amp output.

150W is the peak power output which is twice the 75w r.m.s. rating.
