Hiya,
I'm hoping someone here can help . I have a lovely little k25-2, with a blown mains tranny. I'd like to replace it with a Toroidal, as the one on my K200b is as quiet as a mouse, What I need to know is the output voltage of the original, plus the tolerance, as I may not be able to get an exact match.
Thanks Mike

IF you go to the technical tab on the left it will bring up a page where you can call up the K25-2 schematic. As best as I can tell, it shows 25.2 volts.

Welcome to the place.

Pleat is right, the power supply is designed to be approx. plus and minus 25 volts dc. If you take that figure and multiply it by 0.707 you get roughly 18 volts ac.

So I would imagine that a 36 vct transformer rated at 1.5 to 2 amps would work for you. Of course you will have to have a primary winding that works for your location.

Best of luck with your repair.

Thanks for the help, guys. I'll go for an 18 + 18v as suggested.
Next on my repair list will be my Sidewinder jbl ! Seems that people in England don't realise these amps run on 120v, The k25 's fuse saved the day, but the Sidewinder power amp took a hit ! preamp seems fine !
Best Wishes Mike
PS found the circuit diagrams now, thanks.
