Recently, my studio was demollished by a 300 year old oak tree. I actually had minimal damage due to the roof being supported by a eight foot length of steel truss that I was using as a decoration.
My Kustom 200B head and cabinet appeared a bit wet from the rain that was coming in through the hole in the roof. I wiped it off and later noticed that some water got between the head and the cab. On the high points of the naugahyde, where they touched the head, I noted discoloration. Most of the color and the sparkle effect is gone in those areas. Is there a treatment for this or will the color eventually return. I wasn't aware that water could discolor naugahyde.
Any advice from someone out there that has had a similar problem?

Bummer! I hope that everybody is safe and that the damage isn't too bad.
As for the amp, I've never heard of that before. Is it just the clearcoat that has become milky? If so, then Les is probably right and it will go away after it really dries out.
I use a dehumidifier to dry out stuff that gets wet. I will disassemble the amp and dry out everything that I can get to with paper towels, rags, Q-tips, compressed air, etc. Then I will set the items near the front of the dehumidifier and let it run for a few days before plugging in and trying the amp. You can dry off pc boards and pots, but if the transformer has been soaked, there's no way to know if it's still wet inside or not.

When I moved everything out of my studio, I placed the original Kustom covers on the head and Cab. They have a canvas-like lining. Unbelievely, when I pulled the covers off a few days later, everything was fine. Apparently, the canvas lining wicked the moisture from the Naugahyde and it looks like new again. Amazing!
