Hello all,
First off I want to thank everyone for all of the great info I have been able to find here... This site is fantastic!!!
I have a K200B 1 with a 3X15 cab. The cab only has 1 1/4" input jack and the head has 2 1/4" output jacks. Are these 1/4" output jacks on the head redundant and does it matter which one I use. Also, there is a RCA jack on the upper corner of the K200B 1 head. Is this a line out?
I apologize for my ignorance and appreciate any info that anyone may have regarding this matter.
Kindest Regards,
Archaudio

No problem. The 2 1/4" jacks are in parallel and either can be used for your speaker. However, the lowest impedance of the cabinet is limited to 4 ohms. Does your 3x15 have 3 speakers or 2 speakers and a horn? Then the application is slightly different. A 3x15 cabinet has 3 16 ohm speakers for a total impedance of 5.3 ohms. Only 1 3x15 is allowed. However, a 3x15 siren cabinet has only 2 16 ohm speakers, therefore the impedance is 8 ohms. The horns don't get into the picture until about 2500 Hz as the 15's are rolling off. The impedance stays relatively flat at 8 ohms. You can connect 2 of those cabinets. That would be the arrangement for the PA cabinets. This is essentially the same for 2x15 cabinets. Then the total load for 2 cabinets is still 4 ohms. Some of the guys here have run their amps at less than 4 ohms without issues but I had a cabinet that was wired for 2 ohms and the amp hated it. As far as the RCA jack, that is a line out, but I have found it is very low level. I would use the unused speaker jack for lining out. Keep the amp low and run it into a suitable power amp if that is what you wish to do. Even at 100 watts output, which a K200 is, the output voltage is only 20 volts or so. That is easily handled by a power amp. Or use a direct box.

I don't have anyone specifically that I know about. I know that Garys upholstery in Oklahoma would sell the Naugahyde that you need. He sent me a small sample of Cascade. The color was perfect but it had lines from the underfabric that showed through. It might have been a really scrap piece. But you could check with a local upholstery shop in your area. Maybe an auto upholstery shop. They can do some really fantastic sewing. But the materials for a top notch job are still available.
