Hi everyone,
I'm Menno from Amsterdam, The Netherlands and I'm about to buy an early 70's Kustom III Lead head with matching 4x12 cab. No tuck&roll, I'm sorry :)
My question is whether this set-up is also suitable for bass playing (or will a bass destroy it instantly??). I know it's a guitar amp + cab, but maybe the specs allow it to be played by bass just the same...
Please, all comments are welcome!!
regards,
Menno

Hi Menno,
I have one of these, and the amp is great for guitar OR bass, however the speaker cabinet may not handle bass too well. The guitar cabinet has open back/four ports if I remember right, and the bass version had a closed cabinet with ports at the front and different speakers. I just made a homemade cabinet for bass with one 15 inch Rola speaker and two 4 inch ports, about 31 inches high, 17 deep, and 20 wide. It really thumps, and sounds great with a guitar also.
You will like the Kustom III.
Thrill Bill
