Hey, i have a kustom 3x15 cabinet, i believe it is a 200 series. I am looking to replace the speakers. I am gonna be running a GK 800RB head wich would be 300 watts at 4 ohms. I was hoping that maybe you guys could throw me some suggestions on what spekers to go for. Also i was wondering if i left in the speakers that came with the cab, would it be a good idea to run a head through it at 4 ohms? Thanks.

Hi. you can run your head as is thru that cab now, with out hurting your amp.and if they provide the tone you like your set. As long as you do not run your amp past 3/4 volume you should not blow the speakersI will get back to you on tuesday with a recommend replacement speaker(s).

HI.If you feel a need to replace those speakers, the ones I would suggest are made by eminence, and sold thru parts express. You will need three of part number 290-419 (the 16 ohm model)These ones handle 400 watts and are 4 DB or more hotter than your original CTS ones, so you will find you will have alot more touch sensivtivity when you play, and more clean head room. These are stamped steel frame speakers so they will bolt right in. wire all 3 in paraell and you will have 5.3 ohms, which will be fine for any head. They will probily run you about 80 dollars each by the time your done.
