There was a Kasino Concert sitting on ebay for the past week. I had been watching it, thinking if it was going cheap enough, I'd take a shot at it. Well, I wound up giving $89 plus shipping for it, which isn't anything to write home to mama about, but a fair deal, anyway, presuming it's as described in the listing.
I think I'm correct in believing this is the same electronics as the K200-B5 PA head, right? So I should have a 100 watt 4 channel head that would provide some versatility. This isn't for collection purposes. It will be a player unit, probably to run monitors or possibly for keyboards.
Here's the auction url, if anyone's interested:

Now, my next question. Where do I find a handle for it?
Thanks in advance for responses.

I own one of the Kasino Club amp heads. It's not a bad little unit, but being accustomed to the K200B, The Club just won't run with the big dogs.
Well, glad to know I'm right. I think $89 plus shipping for a K200B in Kasino clothing is a good deal. Not great, but livable. I'll get some use out of it.
Of course, I haven't seen the thing yet, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it is in the shape purported in the ebay ad.
I'll keep everyone posted. I'll also crack it open to fix that handle once I locate a replacement and be able to compare it to an actual K200B-5 to see if it is indeed the same amp in sheep's clothing. And of course, I'll report the findings.
One thing I'm definitely going to do is get rid of the cheesy knobs they put on the Kasino amps. I'll probably go back with something close to the K200 style knobs. It only needs 16 of the blasted things. Maybe I can get on one of the Government bailout programs to help pay for 'em.

Search the board for the knob discussion.
Order the ones from Small Bear Electronics. They are exact duplicates of the original ones and will cost something like $1.25 each in small quantities.

OK, i looked at previous postings and discovered Small Bear Electronics. They have an excellent selection of knobs, so I ordered what I think is a suitable set for the Concert, 16 knobs, and while I was there, I ordered some knobs for my Peavey Classic head. They don't match the originals, but they'll look better than the ones on it now. Total of 25 knobs for $29.60 including shipping to Texas. I can live with that. Radio Shack would have been higher, I believe.
I should have ordered a second set for the Kasino Club I own, but I rarely use the thing at the moment, so I didn't.
The amp is scheduled to be delivered tomorrow. The knobs will be a few days, I'm sure.
So, anyone got a suggestion for a replacement handle for the thing?

OK, I found a handle that looks like it's going to work physically. Cost was $11.99 including shipping. Here's the URL for it:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=22028 3280884
So, I guess I'm set. This puts me at about $140 total for the amp. If I had held out, I might could have located a K200B-5 for close to the same money, but those deals are few and far between, so I'm content with the purchase. When I get it in and get all the hardware on it and get it cleaned up and ready to roll, I'll post some pics. I'll take some pics of the inside while I have the case open so we can verify whether it's a K200B-5 clone or not.

When I picked up the Kasino Club amp I have, i couldn't get the reverb to work. With some help from the gurus on here, I discovered that I had to short the footswitch jack to get the reverb functioning. I wonder if the Concert amp is going to have the same issue. Anyone have any experience with that? You'd think if it's truly a clone of the K200B-5, I shouldn't have to do that on this one.
Oh well, I should know shortly. UPS generally delivers about this time of day.

OK, the amp is here and I've checked it out. All knobs are working, not even any scratchiness to deal with.
Not mentioned in the ebay listing was the fact that the pilot lamp was missing. I did a search on this board and it looks like I need a GE 1829 or 1815 to cure that problem. Is that correct?
The answer to whether I need to short across the footswitch jack so the reverb works is "no, i do not". It functions fine as is.
What I have noticed is considerably less volume from the amp than what I'm getting from my K200B-5. I haven't cranked this one up because my office is in a strip center and I don't want to blow the neighbors out their front doors during the middle of the day. I'll check it out further this evening after they're closed and gone. I did notice less of the Kustom hiss than I'm getting off the K200B-5, but I don't know if that's because of the reduced volume or because there's just less hiss.
The model number on this is a U200-P, serial number 13576. Maybe les has some dating info on this unit in his database.
Physically, other than the handle being entirely dry rotted, the unit is in excellent condition. The knobs are the cheesy looking ones, of course, but that will get cured in a few days. I also have to put a 3 prong cable on it so it has a legitimate ground. I'll wait till the knobs and handle come in so I can open the case only once and tend to everything.
Anyway, so far, so good.
