I recently acquired a 1x15+2x10 cabinet from the Selectone series 200 amps. The KEI 15 was toast but, the 10s work well. I had a 16 ohm JBL D140 in my spares so it replaced the KEI. I would like to use this for bass. How do I construct a filter to prevent the low tones from beating the 10s to death. I want to run the 15 full range. Thanks! Cool

I will get back to you later today when I gig out my notes on this subject.

Off the top of my head I want to say that the cross over Kustom used for the cabinets that had horns was a 5 mfd 50 volt electrolytic cap, although it could be a non polarized cap also .

I need to know what impedance those two 10s are and how they are wired?

They are wired parallel and the 15 was parallel to them. Not sure about ohms. I think they are Jensens by the numbers. Old and faded. I know the KEI 15 was a 16 ohm. I will research and get back to you

Steve the numbers on the 10s are C10N-C9359-4 and 220017 They ARE wired parallel. I call them Jensens. Does this help? BC Cool

No that does not help.

I would get two caps from this company called Dynavox .
One is a 8uf and the other is a 12 uf.

Audition each one wired in series in the + lead for the amount of low end they will pass into the 10" speakers.

If both put too much low end into the speakers then wire both caps together in parallel and give it a listen.

The part number for the 8uf cap is AXC-008G, The 12 uf cap is AXC-012.

Both caps are non polarized so they can be wired in either way.
