was wondering if these rigs have come up in price compared to what I paid new. I still love this amp as it has its own sound, woah!

Cosmetic condition is key to the price on a Kustom. If it is lacking the usual cig burns....tears in the grill cloth and tuck and roll. If the handles are still intact....if the bulbs still work and the blue switches are still functional you will get close to the original market price. Most Kustoms were sold from 15-30 percent off list price in my area when they were new. The main trouble with the Kustom market is that they have a rep for being a pretty amp only....and because they do not have tubes a lot of folks have no idea how good they sound! BC

yes you are right. I was young around 14 when they came out. and a friend of my fathers whom plays a original mustang bass and a 2 12 ross kustom rig, in which is still in use today as a main rig I had the opportunity to play it and at times use it. I have loved their tone and durability every since, so in 1971 I grabbed me one and it however is not my main rig but It will prob be gave to my children as I move on. awesome amp. I also have a 1 15 combo m boogie and it is the only close thing to this.but ya just can't beat a traditional kustom tone. I also love the variable 3 postion tone knob. wish they all had that one. lol! Thanks.
