I have a pair of them that I use for PA mains, but have plugged a guitar into one and they sound great for guitar. It is really a full range cab. Back at the time they were built they used 15" speakers for guitar and not 12" speakers. The name 1G 1H makes it a guitar cab by Kustom. They sound good, I forget where the horn crosses, but ChicagoBill or Pleat will know for sure, I just can't recall.

Good Luck

The 1G 1H cabs stock were 8 ohm originally. Mine have KEI speakers in them.

If your crossover cap is 10uf makes the horn cross at just under 2K Hz. As far as a good sounding cabinet, it really depends on what you like to hear. I personally think the horns are quite brittle especially with distortion. You can change the crossover cap to a 4uf and that will raise the crossover to 5K which will let more tone go to the 15" before the horn kicks in.

Yes it is, if it is stock. As well as the horn, but it is still only a 8 ohm cab because the horn value doesn't count as it isn't up there long enough to make it 4 ohms.

According to my chart, the 1G+H cabinet uses an 8 ohm speaker and 16 ohm horn driver, wired in paralell and total impedence of the cab is 8 ohms.

Mine must have been replaced as they say 8 ohm on them, but that wouldn't surprise me.

All I see is a wire saying F1 Beldon from the + post on the horn to another terminal on the horn. Is this the 10uf cap wire? The cab is mint and was never opened before so it must be stock. I have a 5uf cap, will that do the trick?
