K-250-1 rear jacks question [message #3607] Fri, 30 January 2004 12:43 Go to next message

I'm glad to have found this fine 'board. I have a K-250-1 (bass) head, but none of the rear jacks are labeled. There are two side by side (speaker outs) and one in the corner by itself. What does the one off by itself do? Also,The second of the speaker outs doesn't work. Any clues anyone? Many thanks! Andy

Hi.Of The two jacks that are next to each other, one is the speaker, the other is a line out for recording, and the jack on the far side of the head is a driver stage output used to drive the power amp that kustom put in a optional speaker cab when you bought the 500 serise model.

Yes, it was called and labeled "power module out" and you run a shielded cable from it into the power module cab (speakers plus an amp in it, rare)and then you have twice the kustom fun! :-)

Thanks everyone for your quick and knowledgeable replies. I miss having a second speaker jack (sigh). It looks like Kustom was trying to imitate that powered speaker rig Acoustic was famous for. Best regards from Virginia
