Has anybody played guitar through a early 70's 2X15 CTS Kustom tuck and roll cab? If so or if not what are thoughts on this? Thanks in advance

I have several 2-15" CTS cabs and they sound great. Not as good as my JBL D-130 cab. I have drove the CTS speakers pretty hard and so far have not blowed them up!

I played my guitar thru them and it sounds great. I have Altec 421's in my bass cab. Not an expert, but the cts, with a guitar, did sound good.

I wasn't a big help to you, but they did sound good with my guitar. Maybe some of the other guy's will help you more. The CTS speakers didn't have the punch of my JBL's, but did sound good.

If you are taking about the CTS drivers that are for bass, which do not have the aluminum voice coil covers than they do sound good for guitar but you may as I do find the need to have the brite switch on for some twangy sounds when needed.

Put a good multi effect pedal in front of the amp and it will sound great. It is for sure a guitar amp. I prefer Jansens, but the CTS speakers and KTI's are fine too. I never use the brite switch for anything as it is just to brite for anything I play. I play anything from Hank SR. to Marty Robbins to Iron Maiden and this amp will work for anything as they take pedals good.
