I have just accquired a Kustom k150-8 2x10 combo and am curious if anyone has any info on this thing. Cursory web searches bring up a 4x10 k150-8 and a 2x12 150-7 but i cant seem to find any info on a 2x10 combo. It isnt the cleanest in the world, looks like its been sitting in an attic for years, but its all in good shape, and sounds good, just physically dirty. I am making an assumption that it has the original drivers. Serial number is 57580 if that helps. Its black tuck and roll. I can get pics if needed.

Welcome aboard. I have a SC Catalog that is date coded Feb. 13 1970 and it shows your amp still as a K100 model, so yours would be sometime after they upgraded into the K150 series. It's hard to tell exactly when they upgraded the wattage from 100 to 150 but I say it would have been at least June of 1970 since that was the months that the NAMM Dealer shows were held. A bottle of Simple Green and some paper towels followed by some Armor All will get it looking like new. Does your have the aluminum dust caps on the speakers? In my catalog it shows the dust caps on the 2x10 and the 4x10 but the 2x12 model are Jensens without the shiny dust caps.

Thanks for the reply, I will tear it down tonight and check the whether or not the cones have silver dustcaps. I will try to get pictures of the teardown. It looks original as it can be.
