Here is a bit of info for all of you 5 stringers. Foxy recently modified a 2x15 CTS bass cabinet by installing an 18" Black Widow and an Alnico style 12" in the top. It called for making a new board and moving the ports a little higher(so new grill cloth was in order) but the increase in the range of tones is substantial. The guy who owns it plays a five string and I never heard it get muddy! I hope to try it with a 4 string Rickenbacker soon to see what happens. Hey! How about a Carvin 18 and a Hartke 10 or two!BC!

Brad, a Carvin 18" is the way to go!! It will make any bass person very happy! I would also buy a 12" from carvin and use it. Hey guys, keep in mind that carvin gives you 10 days to try the stuff out. You won't send it back, you'll be impressed. And, NO, I do not work for Carvin.... :-)
