Hello all- I just received my Kustom 2x15 cab and am trying to date it. I know that the plastic port holes started around Oct. '69 and I think also the serial numbers did as well. My cab has the plastic port holes but NO serial number, and no sign of there ever being a serial number on it. It is loaded with JB Lansing D 130F speakers which I'm sure are originals as the output jack at the back of the cab says D 130F on it. Does anyone know what years Kustom used D 130F speakers in there cabs and possibly what year my cab might be?

P.S- The cab had no "Kustom" badge on the grill cloth

Unfortunaly if any other speakers where in there but JBLs you would be able to date it from the date code on the speakers, but JBLs do not have date codes other than sometimes on the cone itself.
If your cab has no serial number plate than is should be a angle front cabinet, where the top of the cabinet is only about 1 inch deeper than a k200 head, the mid 70s and latter cabs had a stright front with silver threads running up and down in the black weave of the grill cloth.
