Picked up that K400 Pa with 2 2-15 cabs in blue sparkle off craigslist.. Cabs are nice except that they have had crossovers installed and a new jack plate at top of the back. Cabs have 2 418 15" inch drivers and are Kustom marked and sound divine!!!Otherwise a very professional looking job. Head is nice looking tho has a small portion of the plexi face plate gone above 3rd channel from left..otherwise is close to mint. Serial of head is 68512 and cabs have no evidence of serial plate. Both cabs have correct altec jackplates. When I picked it up a guy was playing thru the set and it did sound very nice for guitar. Sounds great with bass too tho the 418's aren't specifically bass speakers. Great looking setup and expandable too with the crossover output
jackplate at the top of the cabs. Never uploaded pix here yet but will try as soon as I get some made with the Mavica.

Kraig, good news that you got it. I checked tonight and see it was still on craigslist. I know we talked in Chanute, but somewhere somehow I either didn't get your email address or I've lost it. send it to djt@chartermi.net and we'll add you to some of the daily chatter on kustoms. I can also forward any pictures you send to the collectors that you met in Chanute. I think I know a guy not far from you that may have the blue 2x15 you need to complete the monster rig. The crossover jacks? I know someone added them but I wonder why. Maybe they had a horn pack on top with no crossover in the horn box. Someone for what ever reason thought they were building a better mouse trap.

hey, man, again, congrats!! I'm seeing a number of 2x15 cabs popping up here (I'd get them, but what the heck am I gonna do with 4 2x15s? I don't have a head for them currently). Unfortunately, none of them are the blue sparkly, except for a Blue 250 cab that the guy is trying to get about 700 for (including the head). I'm still keeping my eyes peeeled for you =)

Pleat...you should have my address..kustomoholic@aol.com..I am on the emails that some send out about this and that.. The guy who had it installed very professionally a large crossover and installed a jackplate with outs for both mids and highs on both cabs. While this reduces the "collectability" of the cabs they are expandable with horns that cover those ranges of the audio spectrum for improved sound. I might even have a couple of horn cabs Kustom built to take advantage of them while maintaining the tuck n' roll cosmetics..... Very Happy

Shaun.... did you ever get that 2-10 cab??? I am considering having a couple of 2-10 cabs in blue built so I can add them to my 400 to enhance upper register response. I can get the horns I told you about so they will look right. Will use one with a midrange driver and a high driver with the other horn wave guide.
Kraig Very Happy
