To run the K100-2 at 4 ohms, How many 2500 mfd caps need to be changed to 4500 mfd and what pc board or boards are they on (as in preamp etc.) pc board # would work

Hi, those power supply filter caps are really not part of the modification the amp needs to fully be run safe at a loud volume, although stepping up to the 4500 mfd caps will help the amp to stay cleaner when you start to push it,and acually I love the crunch that a stock k100 has when you push it for guitar use.
What needs to be changed are the values of some of the resistors that bias the two ourput transistors.
If your only intent is to have the amp be safe at a 4 ohm load then placing a small 4" box fan that you can get from radio shack to blow at the back of the head should do the trick, but if you also need alot of loud clean output then the 4500 caps and maybe even a power supply choke like the k150 model has would be the way to go as when Kustom added the choke to these models it when alot in keeping the power supply voltage stabile
which in turn keeps the amps output clean at high volumes.
I just can`t understand why they never added the chokes to the k250 and larger models, its a mystery!
Anyway, let use know what you need to do to the amp if its other than using a fan at the rear.
