A hum, would be frequency wise below the low E string on a guitar, so are you saying the tine you have is above that? and is this tone there with all the controls turned down and nothing pluged into an input?

Hi, since you can not discribe the problem in any minor techical terms I can only deduce that you would not be in a position to fix the amp yourself.Anything along the lines of the problem you are discribing will be a job for a repair tech, so a trip to a shop is in order.
