That's for a foot-pedal. Its basically a wah-wah pedal that controls the selective boost function on your amp. You'll see 'em on eBay now and then. You might even be able get an actual wah-wah pedal, gut it, and make it work for your K250.

The boost pedal is nothing more than a foot operated potentiometer, very much like a volume pedal. I'm not sure, but I think the value of the pot was 50K. Maybe Pleat knows the right value.

The jack is a 1/4" stereo TRS type. According to the schematics the tip is grounded and the ring is the "hot" connection. I assume that this was wired this way for two reasons, one so that only the original pedal would work with the amp and two to prevent any additional hum, as the hot connection carries signal. Wired this way there would be two signal wires hot and ground with additional shielding.

If you have a volume pedal, it can be used as a boost pedal, if you create a special cord for it. The end that goes to the pedal needs to be a standard 1/4" mono plug, wired Tip to hot and Shield to ground. The end that goes to the amp head needs to be a 1/4" stereo plug, wired hot to the Ring and ground to the Tip.

Most if not all volume pedals have one jack that will short the tip connection to ground when the pedal is rotated. So you should try the cord in both in and out jacks to find out which one works.

By the way, saturday i'm going to buy my 3th 250-4 because we don't see them very often in Holland.
