HI, any wonderperson electronics genius out here/there who can tell me the proper way to bypass foot pedals 4-pin connection in the rear/back panel of a 2-15J-2 head? two wires only; going to the 10 and 8 o'clock (facing inwards) pins. Thank you kindly New member 912anthony

very kind of you Thanks soooo much. Love this forum. Waiting on pins and needles. (no pun intended, well does sorted work uh?) thanks again tony
P.S. Wire colors are golden brown 8 o'clock (well 7 o'clock) and gray 10 o'clock (well 9 o'clock). If you have another second. Have original K foot pedal with 4 pin with golden brown, gray. red, and black Male end. Is not this a foot pedal for a 250-2. Hope so, just bought one. Not received yet.
P.S.S. Steve, hope your available for other question, but surely do not want to abuse your kindness. Thinkin about making the 250-2 into 250-4 with purchase of cabinetless 250-4 unit that on sale. What do you think? Fond regards, from a K-Junkie of 38 years lovin the K's. Have two Tall Boys Units and still wantin more.

Hi, as you look at the 4 pin XLR on the back of the amp, if you look close they are numbered. The right most is pin 1 and is ground. ground for the 12 volts on pin 2 that is used for the LED indicators on the foot pedal. Pin 4 is the gray wire and controls the reverb on/off if shorted to ground. Pin 3 is the tan wire, and again if shorted to ground will control the tremolo/vibrato. You can use a fender/peavey/ marshall type foot switch if you change it to the 4 pin type used on the kustom. I have several adapters made up to take vintage type fender foot switches with out the LEDs.It changes the RCA plugs from a vintage fender to the 4 pin XLR.

If everything works in the 250-4, than just slid it into your cab and go!If not you may have to take the driver board and output transistors from your current head and stuff them into the -4 head, if the -4 head is bad its more often than not a dead output section.

Stevem, Thanks!!! I'll do the grounding; just to try them out, until I follow your lead and fix-up a pedal system as you explained. Thanks again. The 250-2 retro to a 250-4 I'll have to wait and see if I acquire the 4. I will surely be back begging if i acquire the 4. Hope you won't mind too much. Sincerely appreciative of your masterful knowledge of the K's and electronics. Note: I also just purchased a 600-2 PA with the 4 columns 2-12 x 3-8/white. Sheesh, what a K-junkie goes through.
