My k-200 B2 amp developed a popping sound. Occurs whether an instrument is plugged in or not. Any ideas what could be causing this? Thanks.

Sounds like DC volatge leaking thru a bypass cap, or a transistor starting to break down.
Do you have any electronics knowlage as I could relay some simple in amp test to narrow the problem down to one of three different section of the amp?

Unfortunately I really don't have the electronic knowledge. I had the amp serviced at a local music store once before and I will probably return it to them. Thank you for your quick reply.
