I converted my 4 channel 745 K200A to a 2 channel amp. Some previous owner screwed up some traces on the effects board, which lays horizontal on the bottom of the chassis causing loud buzzing. I took it completely out, took channels 1 and 4 preamp boards out leaving 2 and 3 and extracted wiring for 1 and 4.Channel 4 preamp board had "work" done to it too. Next the blue wire to the driver board was connected to the output wire from channel 2. Then I noticed that there are 2 resistored inputs on the driver board as they use the same board for 2 channel amps. Only 1 is used on the PA amp because channel seperation is taken care of on the effects board. I connected a wire from the output of #3 to the extra input and finally put .047 caps between each set of 2 1/4" inputs so channel 2 and 3 now have high and low inputs. The extra holes for controls from channels 1 and 4 were filled with 3/8" plastic plugs and setting designations were covered with black permanent marker. It's quiet as a mouse except for inherent treble hiss now. I use out board reverb ( Art MR1 with 16 awesome verbs) I highly reccomend this with a Kustom if you can find one. Anyway it was a fun project and one that worked well in the end. It seems that there are more of the PA heads floating around judging by how many show up on ebay so this is an option to think about.

Kustom Rules!
