Hello everyone.

I have an opportunity to purchase three different combos and honestly I'm not very familiar with two of them.

The first is a K100 combo. There are actually two. One guy says his is a 2x10 and the other says his is a 2x12. I have a K100 head so I know it has a nice clean tone that actually sounds pretty dang good when it starts to drive a little bit.

The second is a Commander 28-L. It looks terrific, but I'm not familiar with it at all. Would hate to grab one of those K100s if this one is a better amp.

The third option is a Kustom Challenger. To me, it looks like a one speaker version of the Commander with a simplified tremolo, but I could be wrong.

The first two are the same price and both are in 8.5-9/10 condition. The smaller one is cheaper but also 9/10 condition. Hoping someone with experience with these can help me decide between them. As always, thank you so much for your time and knowledge.

I would stick with either of the K100's. The Commander and the Challenger are the SS series and newer than the the K100's. I've owned a few of the Challengers and I think Kustom picked the perfect name for that amp. It's a challenge to get the amp repaired. I know at one time there was an IC chip that hasn't been manufactured since 1975. There may be a way to reverse engineer but at what cost. The SS series Kustom's used IC chips and the older K100 series amps used individual transistors.

Thank you for your reply. I was actually leaning towards one of the 100s instead of the others and I think this has solidified their decision. Much appreciated!
