Does anyone have a line on getting replacement power and polarity switches for a k250 from the lincoln switch company.

These switches have not been available since like somewhere around 1976. (I have a NOS one, and I put a high value on it because if I need one, I've got one. If I ever sell my 250 heads, I'll sell the switch to the highest bidder...) Gary has been looking for a suitable voltage correct substitute that would not require any modifications to the front panel, so far no luck. My recommendation to you would be to take a trashed tuck-n-roll head that has operating switches and take one from it and save the rest of the chassis for parts. If you have one of the 250 head boxes that is naked or trashed, I'll buy the wood box from you. (I want to get one recovered in the hot pink sparkle naug so I can make a feminine statement while performing :-) ) Good luck in your search for an operating switch. Oh, and don't think that because the blue light is out that it means the switch is no good. The bulbs can be carefully replaced, see our posts for that info. I've had some people email me thinking that the switch does not work and it's just a blown bulb....

Brad and all, the switches were made by Licon 01-740122. After that number, they would have a 4 digit date code. Hope this helps. I have sold the NOS one I had to my brother. Deb

Jeez. I just found this site, and I need the polarity switch for a Kustom 250-4. The plastic is physically broken where the switch is screwed to the front of the cabinet.
If anyone else has one, let me know. Thanks.

I have a kustom 150 (1972) I bought it new. but now I too am in search of power switches. I have been reading the post regarding 3 prong power cords and was wondering if I can elimiminate the ground switch with a new cord and reuse the ground switch as an off / on switch? please email an answer to jfcupino@yahoo.com

I suggest that you put on a 3 wire cord and use the switch for the on/off switch. If you do that, it renders the polarity switch useless anyways. With the 3 wire cord, you do not need a polarity switch...understand?
