Hello. I am considering swapping out my modded Traynor YT-15 for another Kustom Jensen 2x15. The Traynor has a '68 Kustom CTS out of a 100 series cab in a sealed top section and a near mint late model Altec Lansing 515-16G in the ported bottom section. My current Jensen cab is blue, so one that matches would be swell, but I was wondering how you guys would react if you saw this ad? I might do it since the Traynor weighs a ton with the Altec (though sounds great) and a matching pair of 2x15's is killer; I have a matched CTS pair that rock the casba and I think my Jensen cab is getting lonely. Thanks!

hey Voided....there's nuttin more impressive than a pair of kustoms...I bought my first 2x15 bass cab in 1971..and before the year was out I had found a good deal on a second cab..and myworld was set from then on.. I played that 200 dbl 2x15 rig right up into the mid 80s as a bass sideman for several groups...and I never felt like I was lacking on stage... CTS loads...still my favorite unless you can afford the JBLS.

around 1987 I converted the cabs to PA use..loaded a polycone subwoofer in the bottom and an eminence long throw inthe top positions..added a pair of 3x15 kustom siren cabs..and off to work we went as a midi band...mind you I can't get chest slamming levels like some of the newer 2000 watt technology..but I get plenty of low end and its as good as any system you'll find at the better wedding gigs...and I love the look. I run mackie 1400 power to the top and I'm still experimenting with different bass power.. I've actually gotten my best luck using a behringer 3000 bass guitar head..it has some great preamp controls..lets me really nail the cabs...and no matter what speaker you load in those cabs, with the limited air space, you cna only get so much from them..so trying to hit them with a gigawatt doesn't necessarily give you more....I've digressed..point is...match em up..get 2 cabs..and you should be a happy boy...nuttin wrong with the Traynor...cept it ain't tuck n rolled (grin)

Alrighty, I guess my next question then if you think the Traynor is an attractive swap would be does anyone have a blue or any other color Jensen 2x15? Thanks!
