KUSTOM 15" SPEAKER. Pulled from an early 70's Kustom guitar cabinet (1G+1H). Ideal replacement for use in KUSTOM PA cabinets as well.
USED but Fully Functional, NO coil rub! Surround and mounting gaskets are in excellent condition! NO PERFORMANCE ISSUES AT ALL!
Rebuilt/reconed by manufacturer at some point on it's history. Stickers attest to the work but the actual year cannot be discerned (red ink has bled over time; could be 1973 or 1978 as Kustom was still in business at the time and still honoring lifetime warranties).
Evidence of a dent removed from the aluminum dust cover at one time. Impedance identified as 8-16 Ohms; but measures 10 Ohms resistance. Entire frame and magnet assy are painted flat black but seems to be original or part of the factory refurbishing process.
There are NO speaker MFG Codes stamped anywhere on the frame or the seamed, ribbed cone. The stamped steel frame is similar to CTS / Eminence speakers from that period. I have also included a reference photo of a speaker with a KEI (Kustom Electronics Inc) label that has an identical frame. Therefore, I cannot attest to the actual manufacturer or the power rating. Literature refers to this as a 'Special Design' speaker; seems to be used in both guitar and PA cabinets from this period.
PRICE INCLUDES SHIPPING/INSURANCE TO CONUS (lower 48 states) ONLY; NO PO BOX NUMBERS!
NO RETURNS AS THIS IS A VINTAGE ELECTRONIC ITEM.
