Hey guys, new to the forum. I've got a red Kustom k200, a 1968 I believe. Recently it hasn't been pumping out as much volume as she used to and I'm wondering where to start as far as fixing this issue. I know that's not a lot of information to go off of, but maybe you guys can help me out. Thanks in advance, Austin.

It could be anything from a new speaker cable to a bad speaker to you name it! What have you changed, anything new that you have changed on the amp?

Ive got a new lava cable speaker cable, and the cab performed just fine when I used a different head on it. I haven't changed anything on it. It doesn't sound bad or break up or anything, just not as loud as it was. It just started out of the blue. I'm pretty handy with a multimeter and a soldering iron, I just don't really know my way around the guts of an amp that well.

Welcome to the place.

It would help us to know what model K200 amp you have, k200A or K200B, model 1 or 2 or 3, etc. Then you can go to the technical section of this site and look up the schematic for your amp. Then when we suggest things, we will be able to reference part numbers etc. for you to check.

Does the problem happen with both channels?
