I have a Kustom k200-A Head with a 2x15 cabinet.

The head is a little noisy when amp is on (it gets hidden once I start playing)

Is this fixable or is that just how these old Kustoms are?

Thanks

It is repairable. I am not a tech, Stevem or Chicagobill will be able to help you out. Good luck, welcome to the place and keep us informed! Smile

Hello.
All vintage Kustom heads develope noisy transistors in the preamp stage, and the A serise and earlyer heads have many caps in the preamp sections that go bad and or change a great deal in value due to age.
A repair tech should have no problem fixing the amp other than the fact that the A serise amps equiped with all the effects is a pain to work on with its stacked circuit boards.
