Hello people, I just wanted to know about the watts of the K50-2

I have read in an advertisement that the output was 50 watts, but then here (and other places) I have read that the real output is 25 watts...

Can anyone tell me the real output???

And another question. If you want to play in a theatre or big place... Is it possible to plug this little amp into a bigger cab??? Or the only way to have more volume is with a microphone????

Thanks Very Much!!!!

The K50-2 amp is 25 watts RMS into a 8 ohm load. You can drive a bigger more efficient speaker cabinet but you still want a total of 8 ohms to the speaker jack.
As far as playing in bigger venues, we would need to know how many other amplified instruments there are in the band and how loud the band plays.
I run a K50 and play small clubs to outdoor events and don't have a problem being heard. I run a processor pedal in front of the amp and it has enough boost to make it heard without the use of mics.

Well, I play in a CCR tribute band, sometimes all the instruments are amplified, but we doesn´t play loud.

I am "new" in this amplifier stuff, I will read a bit more about the ohms stuff.

Does this amp have an output line???

Thanks!

I'd say that a guitar straight into the amp's input might be a little light in keeping up with the band, but I guess you'd have to try it out and see if it will have enough volume. I know with my K50 and processor pedal, I never run over 9 o'clock on the volume if you look at the volume control as the face of a clock.

There is no line out, but it is simple to make one. 100K ohm resistor in series with a 6.8K ohm resistor. Take a tap off the speaker jack to the 100K resistor. The 6.8K goes to ground. Tap between the two resistors to feed the line out jack. Of course the negative side of the line out jack has to go to ground.
