What would you think they're worth?
Great condition.
Not sure if covers are included.
Thoughts?

302A columns? Are those vintage or are 302's the new stuff?

Ah! I have 4 of those in black, never new the number to describe them. As far as value, I will pay up to 200.00 for a good condition column. I wouldn't mind having 2 more. 3 on each side would be killer. I got some sparkle stuff to trade. Oh, I looked at the pic again, those must be 5 10's? mine are all 4 12's. What number do you call the 4 12" cabinets?

So now I take time to read! 3 8's and 2 12's. That is interesting. more high range than the 4 12" cabinets I assume. I'm sure those are worth a lot more than my 4 12's.

Friend, those puppies have got to be worth 450.00 to 500.oo for the pair if they play out clean and the hides are fair to good.

Putting a price on the columns. Several things come to mind. Color and condition of the T&R and speaker condition? What will they be used for, home collection or gigging? Speaker configuration, 4x12" vs. the 3x8" + 2x12" newer style? The 302 columns will have silver thread weaved into the grill cloth, so matching them with the older 4x12" won't be a perfect match.
Looking from a gigging standpoint, neither version will out perform the newest cheap single 15" and horn PA cab you can mount on a stand. Hauling is another factor, the columns are tall and hard to move unless you have a van or a trailer.
Frequncy range, low power handling capabilities on the columns are very limited compared to the new small PA cabs with horns that take up very little space.
All the negative comments on Kustom PA columns can work to your advantage when dealing with the seller. Pointing out that just because they are old school, does not make them priceless. If paper cone speaker columns were that great, they'd still be making them, and the single 15 and horn cabs never would have came on the market.
Size again is the big drawback. I seen small kustom amps in colors sell for 1200.00. In general, it seems the larger the Kustom, the less they bring and the PA columns bring even less. Personally I wouldn't pay more than 200.00 for a great pair of sparkle colored PA columns, but then I buy what I can use on stage.

I lugged around a Kasino Concert PA and columns for years gigging.
Actually used it as amplification for my keyboards.
Nowadays I just seem to buy, restore and sell these things. I just love them and want to see them last forever. Kustom was my first love.
I'd die if some kid bought them and tore them up.
The guy's asking $350 for the pair.
Finding the matching 300 PA head would probably be tough though.
Hmmmm....I'll have to give this more thought.
Thanks for your input.

$350.00 for the pair is right in line with $200.oo per cabinet that has been my top offer for years, but I would have gone to $450.oo for that speaker arraignment. There still was no mention of hide condition and handle condition. Casters from Home Depot are a perfect match and cost under $4.oo each. Monument Music claims to be the only dealer in America that can get the newer handles from Kustom. My Kustom dealer here in Gulfport Ms. told me on the phone to come in Monday and we will call Kustom and see about getting handles and just how many we may be required to purchase. Monument music, as some of you may know sells the handle for $15.99 EACH! And that does not include the shipping, you also must re manufacture them down from 4 7/8" to 4 3/8" to get them to factory specks. I will let you know more on Monday, I own a fabrication shop and modifying the handles will be no problem. I would love to see this handle issue resolved.
