I mentioned in another thread that I had located a matched set of 2-15+horn cabs. I went out today and bought them. I stuck them in opposite corners of my waiting room at my optical shop. Might as well let my patients enjoy my new computer speakers, too, don't you think?
They're black, they're loaded with a pair of matched jenson 15's and the 15" round horn. Right now, I've got my PA head running into them, pushing mp3's coming off my computer. They sound great so far.
I think I have an extremely rare thing. Two matching T&R cabs from '67, I believe that do not have one cigarette burn on them.
Anyway, just bragging on the find. They're in excellent condition except the handles and some rust on the rollers

Yep, no burns, and no holes in the grillcloth. It didn't even look like anyone had ever opened up the boxes for any reason. The speakers are Jensens, exactly like the input plate said and they look and function perfectly. The horns look practically new. The T&R is intact everywhere except a small scuff on the upper right front corner of one cab and some scrapes on the very bottom side, not visible when the amp is standing up. I'm amazed at the condition of them. The rollers are showing some rust and the plastic portion of the handles is missing on all four handles. Now, both cabs need a good cleaning, which they're definitely going to get. The grill cloth is dusty on both, but I know how to deal with that.
If I get industrious I might shoot some photos tomorrow and upload them somewhere
The one thing that is missing is any kind of serial number plate. I can't even tell where one might have been attached.

No aluminum ports, nameplates do say Kustom by Ross, Inc. I checked the speaker numbers while I had the cab open and the Jensens were made in '67. And like a fool, I forgot to write the stuff down before I closed the cab. I know they're '67 vintage, though. Now I need to chase down some handles.

OK, the 4 port holes are present. I counted 12 rolls across the top, including the two corner rolls. These are the "slant" cabinets, if that helps to identify them.
I guess that makes these K200A era. Does that jive with the Jensen speakers being present? Like I said in earlier post in this thread, I don't know if the cabinets have ever been opened before I did.
My other 3-15 cab has aluminum ports going through the grillcloth and all sorts of vermin have gotten in there before I got it. I found dead bees, wasps, moths, crickets, etc. in there.
OK, we just took some photos and put them on flickr of the cabinets. I left the files large, so you can see more detail if you blow them up. Each file is about 1.5 meg, so be patient. If you're on dialup, bring some nytol with you. and a large book.
