Welcome Aboard Josh,
My guess is it's a bass amp head but All Kustom heads work most excellent for either guitar or bass in My opinion. It all comes down to using an EQ and your choice of pedals. I use a Digitech RP-2000 and it is sweet. I would recommend anyone to get a Digitech GNX2,3, or 4 for their Kustoms or the Line6 Live pod if you have the bucks to fork out. Making your own tone action is really wher it's all at but sending that tone signal out into an Old Kustom Head is damn near impossible to beat? I'm sure Old Ed, BC, and Steve can be more specific on the K100A-1 info if and when they come in from setting off their holiday jam sessions and firecrackers and whatnots? Recommend you read thru all of the webboard sections when you get time. There is tones of outstanding info from the whole gang.

The suffix number indicates the type of head it is. These suffixes were only on the A and B models. The -1 is a straight guitar/bass head. There are no differences between the guitar or bass heads. The literature sounds like there is a difference but they are the same. A -2 would be have Reverb/Vibrato effects. A -3 would have Harmonic Clipper/Selective Boost effects. And a -4 would have all of the effects. A -5 is a PA head and a -6 came out late in production and it is a -1 with selective boost. I have a K100-1 and a K100-2 and they follow the same conventions. The literature section is great for identifying your amp.
