Hi guys, I need to replace a speaker in my K-150-8 combo, but don't known the specs of the stock speakers. Should I be looking for 10", 8 ohm, 100 watt speakers? Or 10", 8 ohm, 75 watt speakers? Would a 12", 8 ohm speaker work too? Thanks in advance.

I would think that the 75 watt speaker would be a good replacement since the amp is rated at 75 watts RMS and suspected that both speakers are wired in parallel. A 12 inch is not going to line up with your bolt pattern and you would have to remove them....not to mention taking off the grill cloth.....that's a lot of work. Also you would have to cut the speaker baffle to accommodate the 12 inch. Not familiar with your particular amp but since its a K-150, I think that speaker would work for you. The 100 watt would probably work also, but seems like over kill since you would never be running the amp at full power anyway.
If you were replacing both speakers, then I would probably opt for the 100 watt ones......I like to have a safety net just in case. One of the other guys here can probably tell you exactly what wattage the original speakers were.

pleat wrote on Fri, 03 July 2015 08:46I own the same SC K150-8 2x10 amp in charcoal. My speakers were toast, so I installed the Jensen MOD10-50 speakers and love the tone. Musicians Friend has them and can be ordered in 16 ohms so you can wire the speakers in parallel for your 8 ohm load to the amp. Less than 50.00 each

You can read all the spec's.

Would running one Jensen MOD 10-50 work in parallel with one stock speaker? Or do I need to buy two Jensen MOD 10-50s to run them in Parallel? Or do you think I should buy a Jensen MOD 10-75, to run in parallel with the stock speaker?

Again, its up to you. My K150C-8 2x10 amp I'm running the Jensen MOD 10" 35 watt 16 ohm speakers. Went back to double check. I run two processor pedals in front of the amp for all my effects. An old Digitech RP1 processor and a Roland GR33 processor that duplicates Organs, Brass, drums, etc. and the Jensen MOD's handle it with ease.
To my ears, I love the sound I get, but everyone hears differently.
