I have a Kustom 150 silver metal flake tuc and roll bass amp. However, it seems that over the last thirty years, it has gotten some knicks and bruises in the vinyl. All of the cuts are pretty minor, so I am thinking that they can be repaired. I thought that I could take it to an upholstery repair shop and get it taken care of. Although I could be wrong. Any suggestions?

Hi. From what I found with mine the best repair you can make other then recovering it, is as follows. As long as the covering has not yellowed to much, get a tube of clear silicone sealer. if you have nicks and cuts with covering to fold back in, apply some sealer, fold the cut back in and apply tape over night.latter You can add more sealer around the nick if you need to fill it more. over fill it a little and use some wax paper as a speader. If you have no covering to fold back in. Get to a craft store, buy a tube of silver sparkles and mix them in to some sealer, and use the above procedure. chow!
