I have a k100 2, How can I fix the loud idle noise. The person I got it from said the transformer had been changed.Is that the problem, where can a get a replacement.

It could be the power if it is putting out more voltage the the original. You should see 38 to 42 volts D/C across the positive terminal of one filter cap(red wire)and the green wire of the other filter cap. If these are within this range then something else is wrong.

Thanks for the tip. It appears to be a little hot. Would radio shack have a replacement transformer? thanks again.
