hey everyone, i have found out, thanks to all of you, exactly what my Kustom A - 3 is, however i dont have a footswitch to turn on the clipper and boost. So i took the amp to a local shop to have a plug wired but he told me that he needed the schematics. So if anyone out there has those schematics and could let me get a copy of them or post them on this website that would be a huge help to me. thanks for taking the time to read this and please help me.

P.S. Myamp is the "1J+1H 3-w/p"

thanks again!

If someone who is reported to be a tech can not figure out how to wire up two on off switches with out a schemaic into one of these amps, then do not let them touch the amp any more then they have all ready. Find another repair shop!

yeah Steve might sound like a hard nose..but he's right..a good amp tech would occasionally enjoy a schem..but seldom needs em on a basic amp like our kustoms...my amp tech has done extensive repairs on a number of kustoms for guys in our gang...even the old Franks...without papers...in fact both of the good techs in my local area have done simple mods to improve voicing etc...for example...higher value filter caps in my little SC100 combos give them a slightly bolder stronger sound...its noticable amd since those old style caps (mini beer cans) aren't readily available and new technology is much smaller...its not a hard choice to let them do the mod...good luck with it.. I don't have a clipper head or I'd have my tech go into it and tell us what you need..sorry...

I've fixed the reverb in my frank head 3 times. First fix, cut output lead past point of suspected break, strip, resolder, fixed! Play it for an hour or so then reverb quits. The 2nd fix was replacing the 500 cap going down to the reverb input.
Same thing,it works, play for awhile, reverb goes out. The 3rd fix was to solder the female output RCA jack that's riveted to the can cause one of the rivets broke. Result? reverb works but then stops working. What could cause this intermittent problem? It almost seems that none of my repairs were related to the real cause because it happens after the amp heats up to operating temp and then it's gone! Lots of threads talk about reverb problems and the majority of the Kustom amp decriptions on ebay site reverb problems. Any ideas woud be welcome. thanks fellow Kustom addicts-----------Teleman

Not the 500 but the 10mfd cap that goes to the reverb input.--Teleman
