What gauge speaker cables are recommended for our Kustom amps? I need to make up some with a straight on one end and a 90* on the other.

It really depends upon how long they are, but for most normal lengths, 18 gauge zip cord is my favorite.

Can you still buy round 2 conductor cord, or are you talking about the flat 2 conductor zip cord?

Either one will work, but I still get round two conductor, black rubber insulated cord from my local hardware store. I think the last time I got some, it was from Home Depot.

If your making your own cables an do not need it longer than 6 ft you can rid your house if some junk and cut the ends off one of the many IEC cables you likely have gathered up somewhere!

Old post.........., but GC does not carry the round 2 conductor speaker cable that I know of, unless they just started carrying it. I found 50' of it though so since I posted. I have plenty now. I made up a dozen cables so far with right angle to straight 1/4' phono jacks.

Yes they do sell heavy guage round black speaker cable unless you live in a small town with a smaller GC ! I go to ours here in Denver and it is huge ! Anyway I just bought a bunch for the K200 B-5 and CTS columns and it was good stuff as I bought ends and made them up myself. Could not tell you the actual gague because I just sold the outfit three weeks ago. But you can find out if you get on their web site or call ! They had rolls of every kind of cable you could ever use for any purpose ! The cable I got was almost 3/8 in diameter barely fit in the jack sleeve !

I use the AC cable I took off when I replace the AC cables with the grounded three pin plug. Waste not, want not.
