1-15 SC combo help [message #1471] Fri, 26 April 2002 18:04 Go to next message

How do I gain access to the amplifier of a 1-15 SC bass combo? Do I remove screws from the back panel and the take off the panel,if so, which ones?, or do I open up the cabinet section and remove some screws and then slide out the amp? I'm not going in to mess with the electronics, I just need access to the amp to remove a couple of loose nuts (from the cord holder brackets). How do I do this?

You will have to remove the back of the speaker section of the amp. You will find four screws that hold the chassis in the cabinet. The screws might be hidden under the insulation. Un plug the speaker cord and the amp will slide out the back. Easy job with a power screw driver. It's always fun to remove the backs from kustoms. I have found everything from toys, food and long neck beer bottles that have made their way through the port holes. It's also a good time to check the speaker for loose nuts. Don
