I'm looking for one large chrome port for a 1968 or 1969 3-12 cabinet. One has a big chunk missing. I also have three handles. The handles are all original. Little rough and rusty. Can email pics if interested as I can't seem to post to site. Could use some knobs if anyone knows where there are some hiding. Thank You.

I have 1 plastic chromed 3 1/2 inch bass port that is still intact that I would trade for your three handles. Someone on ebay has amp knobs for $7 each that match the K series amps. Type in kustom in the main heading and look under musical instruments and you'll find them on page 7 or 8.

Save your money and buy the new knobs from Small Bear Electronics. They look exactly the same and cost less than two bucks.

And if you are into Kustomizing, they come in colors as well.

The 1" knob with the silver insert.

They just changed the website, so search for small bear electronics and then under knobs look for "Large Fluted Silver Center, Dot Index, Colors" and you should find them. $1.20 each in small quantities.

Chicago Bill, Thank You! I just placed an order for those knobs. Iowa Boy, what dollar value would you put on the port and could you send me a few pictures of it? Thank You.

Not interested in selling it......but I do need handles. Bass ports have been selling on ebay for around $65 a set and handles about $30 a pair. So would be willing to work out a trade of some kind.......send me your email address and I send you some pictures.

Thanks Bill for the knob info. One of my larger knobs on a K300 is cracked and was hoping to replace it. Now I know where to look.

Depending on the age of the Kustoms. The plexi face amps used knobs with set screws.
Somewhere during the slant metal face amps, through the tolex era PA's Kustom switched to the D-Shaft knobs. So a D shaft knob's Dot marker will not line up the same as the older set screw model knobs.

Pleat brings up a good point. I'm not certain when the change came about, but the later pots and knobs did have D shaped shafts. The flat side of the D is opposite from the pointer dot. This made assembly faster in the factory.

I checked the new knobs from Small Bear and the set screw is opposite from the pointer dot, so they should work perfectly with the D-shaft pots.

Hey guy.....there's a new listing on ebay for 2 bass ports....$29.00 . The chrome is bad but they are in one piece and for a price could be re-chromed. Thought I'd give you a heads up.

Iowa Boy,thanks for the tip. I'll check it out.Ebay can be pretty tough at times. Two fools ran a set of handles up to $93.00! That's nuts. Are you still interested in trading? I can send pictures if interested.

Sure if you decide against the ports on ebay. I was tempted to buy them but finding someone to re-chrome them is a hassle and my brother is so busy he doesn't have the time to do them for me. I'll send you pictures tonight when I get home. Yeah some people go nuts on ebay.....selling and buying. You can buy an empty cabinet for that price.

I bought the ports on ebay, sent them to be rechromed and that was months ago. Have not and probably will not see them again. So back to the question, anybody have a large port they would like to sell? My spare parts dept is low but I have cash.I know this has drug on for awhile but I just had a friend bring the cabinet from out of state three weeks ago and now I look at it daily and it really needs that port. Thanks
