I'm looking at a speaker that is said to have come from a Kustom cab but I'm a little sceptical about it. There are no brand markings on the item but it does have the #038-0084-00 29570 2857938. Can anyone identify this speaker? The guy who has it says it came from a 60s Kustom cabinet that got ruined and was disposed of.

Its hard to say,as I have 2 15" in a kustom cabinet that are clearly a CTS made driver, yet it has a stamping on the magnet that starts with 038 like yours. But on yours you also posted the 2857938 code and 285 is the manufacturer code of the Rola company, and the 79 would be the year of manufacture followed by the digets 38 which would be the week of manufacture, so I could only conclude that it may have come from a Kustom cabinet but it was not a 60s era cabinet!

I do not know!Every now and than I think about how many songs I know the words to, and can play after 40 plus years of doing it, and the words to songs would be enough to fill up a few real good sized books, yet every time I go to the food store with out list there is always one thing I find I forgot to get when I get back home! Oh well!
