Thanks to all the warm welcomes to the (just found this site) posts- i have a charcoal sparkle 2 x15 cab and read a old post about baffles or insulation/foam in the cab-mine doesn't have any-did it? should it? what tonal change would it add or change??? also i have 1 small tear in the covering on the cab- how do you repair that or keep it from getting worse- otherwise it is in perfect condition so recovering is not an option??? thanks again jeff in minneapolis, mn

Jeff, My understanding is that some of the very late cabs may have left the factory without insulation in them. My 250 cabs (3) all have it. Yours should too! If it doesn't have it, it will sound boomy and kinda strange. Radio Shack sells some and it's cheap. The item number is 42-1082, acoustic insulation, 1 square yard roll, for $4.79. They may have to order it for you. Paint it black and install it using 5/16" long Arrow brand (or equivalent) staples, about 2 every foot should do it.

Jeff: Power poxy will work. So will 2" clear tape. Super glue the tear down and tape over it.
