When a virus tries to mail itself to the addresses in your address book, this will be the FIRST entry it encounters. The mail server will reject the fake address and probably all other addresses in the messages "To" and "cc" fields. Some servers may send the message to the valid addresses, but you'll be alerted when the bogus address bounces and comes back as undeliverable. If you are mailing people yourself (not the virus taking over) then your email goes out okay. Now, I strongly add that this fix is not a cure! NOTHING replaces weekly or more frequent virus definition downloads and updates!!!!!!!! NEVER open any FILE with a .exe .pif .com extension!!! And be very careful to check a file name for "double" extensions that appear like in this example name: BeSafe.jpg.exe Do you guys understand? Deb
