Anyone here own the L 1 1x12 amp? How are they? I am hoping to try one out. Is there good headroom on these?

Hi solocin,
Do you mean the silverface or blackface one ?
I have bought one last summer, but there is something with the volume.

It is the silver face one.

Are these silver faced L 1's warm sounding for a solid state? I usually like to darken my tone by rolling off the trebles a bit.

For me personally, this is a very good amplifier with a warm sound and certainly it has a sufficiently high tones, not "s" or thin sounding. It also depends on the space in which you are using it, the best is in the living room.I once had a Kustom III-lead with the corresponding 4 x12 speaker cabinet, at a low volume the sound was very poor and thin. Kustom III is better for large halls work.
