How do these work as small vocal only PA's?
I have a chance to buy one of these with two 4x12 columns. I know it's not the most practical option, but I need a small PA for vocals only and this is much cheaper than I can get any portable PA system.

Small 3 peice blues and R&B gigs in restaurants, etc.

Thanks for any input.

The speakers will work good for those type gigs, but the head is old school and made for high Impeadance mic`s so you need old school mic`s, or shure type adapters/transformers for each mic.

Hmmm.
I'm kinda strapped for money and the Kustom is at least $200 less than any good starter PA that I can find right now. Plus I know I can use the head as a bass amp.

Now I just have to decide if it's worth it to get the Kustom and the cables, or put myself in debt and buy a PA

Mic matching transformers can be purchased from 9.00 to 29.00 each. So depending if your using one or 4 mic's would be your cash outlay. Might save you from going into debt on a different PA system.

That is the rig I used for many years with my band.
The singer still owns it and uses it exactly the way you are planing.
Go for it!
