Anyone know the difference between these two Altec speakers......can't find any specs on just the 421. Thanks

They are the same thing!
The 421 H8 is different being rated a 150 watts program, not 100.

Thanks for the info........no one else was able to come up with an answer and Altec has been bought out....again......and current company couldn't help me at all.

I have been doing some deeper digging on this Altec stuff since I have 4 drivers that I need to re- cone and this is what I have found.
Any of the drivers with the II ending in there model have the up rated voice coil that went from 100 watts rms up to 150.
The H used in the model number tells the frequency responce goes from some 35hz up to 8K, others are manly Bass drivers that top out at 3500hz,but there are some small differences in low end spec that I can not pin down with the info I have found.
There are however some big differences in the Vs spec on some of the low frequency drivers with some needing over double the cabinet cu Ft area!
