Oh, so the switch has broken. The usual break is where the threaded mounting bushing meets the main switch body. Are all of the sections there? The power switch is exactly the same, so you can compare the two.

I remove the mounting bracket from the front panel and remove all of the switch parts and try to fit them all together. If all of the parts are there, I glue the bushing back onto the switch body with some Plastic Weld hobby cement.

Once the bushing is dry, I re-assemble the rest of the parts and make sure that switch is working again. Then I will re-mount the switch onto the mounting bracket. The next thing to do is to use two cable ties to hold the entire switch body to the mounting bracket, one on each side of the original mounting bushing.

Then re-mount the bracket to the front panel.
