Hi everyone!

I found a Kustom cabinets with 10 speakers in it, all 8".

Original TnR, speaker wood board, grill, everything.

It is supposely a one of a kind, Bud Ross experimentation during the "Kustom Electronics" period.

Anyone who knows someone, who knows someone, who knows someone, who knows someone that knows anything about this?

Smile

Hmmm..

That would be impossible for me, since I'm in Montreal (Quebec, Canada) and this beast weight a ton.

Anyone could talk about this to Bud for me?
Keep me posted via a PM.

By this time, anyone else have any info?

Thanks!
Cool

There was a black one floating around Ebay a year or so back out in the Kansas area. Not sure if yours is the same cab or one like it. Kustom was always trying different speaker combinations, and your's might have been one. We've seen some odd combinations surface over the years, but the quality of speakers in the cabinet might give a clue as if it a bass cabinet without any ports or maybe a PA cab.

That must have been a failure of time and money due to the fact tht no matter how you wire up that many speakers(serise, parallel or what not) the Inductance value is so high that it loads down the high end repsonce big time!
It may have worked for bass guitar tones back then, but not with 8" drivers of the day!
Here`s a question for you, post any of the numbers you find on the mounting frame lip, or on the magnet back of the speakers, and I can tell you when they where made and may be pin down if the cab is ligit or not!

I have seen these pics before. if it were a 8 x 10" cab it would be a better bass cab for sure but I think it is more of a pa cabinet. just my .02
