hey i have 2 speaker cabs that look like the 1975 250 or 500 that have the large horn not the 15" anyways the one i have is the kasino consert pa one of the horns in it is trying to bite the dust the other one is just fine but one day i was working with it trying to get it to work and it just stoped working and i heard that if you hook the tweeter by it self and turn the bass up all the way and then turn the vol. up all the way it would make a pop sound and should work well i thought what the heack i'll try it so i did and it worked but it still really quite the other one over powers it and i want to know who made the horn in those i know the 12" are JBL and they still work Bass n drum boy

Hi, I have never seen what type of driver those horns use, but since the horn is metal like a Altec lansing horn of that era they may be Altec drivers or may be CTS. The screw on or bolt on driver, which ever the case may be should say the brand on it.Replacment daphragms for altec driver are on the majic parts site. If you want to replace the whole driver go to the parts express site and look at the Eminence driver line.

Kustom used two brands of drivers on their horns. The round horns used Atlas sound drivers, and the rectangular cast metal horns used EV. The atlas driver was a smooth with a rounded back and the EV has fins around the diameter of the driver. Hope this helps. Don
